Mel Tills won the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award in 1976, the same year he also won Comedian of the Year from Music City News. In fact, he won six of those fan-voted awards throughout the 70s for his humor. Obviously, Mel did a lot more than just stand and sing during his concerts back then!

Though Bob Dylan's previous film efforts 'Renaldo and Clara' and 'Masked and Anonymous' weren't exactly blockbusters, to put it lightly, a new project by the singer-songwriter could be worth the hype.
According to Pajiba (via TwentyFourBit), writer Jay Cocks, who penned the scripts for 'Gangs of New York' and ' The Age Of Innocence,' is working on script based on Dylan's 11-minute epic 'Brownsville Girl.' The song, from 1986's 'Knocked Out Loaded' album, was co-written by actor/playwright Sam Shepard and is a mixture of a romance and a Western.
